Days Out: Landmark Forest Adventure Park
Championing ‘fun, discovery and adventure’, Landmark Forest Adventure Park is a fun-packed day out for families of all ages and sizes.
Situated in the Highland village of Carrbridge, the park boasts a runaway train ride, water slides, a dinosaur kingdom, and a tropical bio-dome – to name but a few. The whole park is spread out within dense pine forests so there’s loads of outside space for everyone to enjoy.
Below are some of the highlights:
Dinosaur Kingdom is Scotland’s biggest and best dinosaur experience. It features 22 life-like dinosaurs, each moving around their enclosures, roaring at passers-by. There’s a 20-foot tall T-Rex, and dinosaurs as long as three double-decker buses. Meet the dinosaurs that made Scotland their home over 160 million years ago, but beware – don’t make any sudden movements…
The Tropical Hot House is an enchanting bio-dome packed with hundreds of the world’s most beautiful butterflies and exotic flowers. Wandering through the dome feels just like being in a tropical jungle, with the soothing sounds of a cascading waterfall, the scuttle of Asian Quail at your feet, and the unmistakable sound of budgies and parakeets singing from the trees.
The Bamboozeleum is a magical gallery packed with mystifying and dazzling optical illusions. Wander around the perplexing exhibits, weird puzzles and bewildering special effects and let your mind be expanded.
The Wonder Wood is a special place which features three crazy cabins, where the laws of physics don’t apply. There’s a spinning Vortex Tunnel, a Topsy Turvy room, and a Growing-Shrinking room, which will make you feel like you’re in Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory.
For those with cars and trucks on their mind, there’s an area dedicated to Mini Diggers and Radio Jeeps. Get the little ones practising their 3-point turns with radio controlled Land Rovers, and moving some sand with the mini diggers.
These are just some of the many activities and attractions at Landmark Forest Adventure Park. We recommend wearing warm and waterproof clothes, booking tickets in advance online, and checking their website for any updates before attending.
