Additionally, the Kinrara Estate is famed for its award-winning Kinrara Gin, which visitors can taste and purchase at the Kinrara Distillery just outside Aviemore.

Lovingly refurbished to a high standard, Hillview Cottage offers fresh and comfortable self-catering accommodation for up to 7 guests. With an eclectic mix of both modern and vintage decor, the cottage exudes a homely, laid-back feel that is inviting to all who enter. Beautiful reclaimed maple flooring, panelled walls, and an array of natural elements combined with muted tones throughout create a tranquil and cosy space perfect for relaxation. The inviting living area and bespoke kitchen provide a spacious and comfortable environment ideal for social gatherings, while the dark, luxe bathroom offers a soothing and sumptuous retreat to wind down after a long day. The stunning wood-burning stove serves as a beautiful focal point in the room, and it has become a favourite gathering spot for our furry friends as well.
The garden
Hillview Cottage has a beautiful, fully enclosed (dog friendly) back garden with a large lawn, decking area for al fresco dining and a fire pit. Beautifully maintained, the garden provides a wonderful backdrop for the open plan kitchen and dining room, creating a real sense of being surrounded by nature. It’s a popular spot for wildlife and perfect for winding down while watching the birds and red squirrels come to feast.

“My family and I have stayed on several occasions at different times of the year. Hillview is a beautiful haven perfectly located - only 10 minutes from Aviemore and great for walking if you love a good country walk with the kids and dogs. The cottage offers everything you need for a short or long break; plenty of parking, beautiful gardens, for birdwatching and I spotted my first red squirrels there jumping off the back garden trees. The cottage is close to the Cairngorm Mountain Range, which means that you’re spoiled for things to do; we’ve skied, visited the Highland Wildlife Park, walked with Cairngorm reindeer (a must!), visited Loch Morlich and other stunning lochs. There’s sailing and quad biking close by too. Local restaurants are great but we also loved to eat in the cottage. The lounge log fire is just heavenly - especially when you've been out all day on adventures. 5 stars.” - Maxine
“The photos do not do this place justice! Every inch is so beautifully done up with lovely details in every room. The view of the garden sitting at the kitchen table is so serene and relaxing. We got to see red squirrels, lots of song birds, and even a pine marten!
