“We had an incredible stay, beautiful place and hosts were so flexible to allow our 5 adults, 5 dogs and 1 toddler to stay comfortably and check-in early! Loads of great recommendations for the area, and the most relaxing stay. Everything was wonderful, we would 100% come again and recommend this place. The bathroom was so dreamy - wish it was in my house! Got lots of use out of the garden, the BBQ and the fire pit in the evenings. If you have a toddler/kid you have to check out Landmark... our boy was in paradise!”

“Loved our stay. Cottage exactly as described. Handy location, loads to see and do. We did the quad bikes at the holiday park next door and we really enjoyed this experience. Also visited loch Morlich which was beautiful. Used local taxi firm for going to Aviemore in the evening for meals and drinks. Was about £13. The taxi driver was reliable and very friendly.”

“Beautiful home with stylish interior and lovely, spacious outdoor space. Great location near Aviemore meaning both easy access to amenities and to lots of lochs and trails. Hosts really responsive and provided lots of useful hints, tips and recommendations for things to do, see and where to eat and drink. Really recommend staying here - great for a both a quiet get away or hosting lots of the family.”

“Loved this cabin - an incredible place. Very peaceful - you won't want to leave though there are 100 things to do. This is a wonderful place for a family or friends. Give time to enjoy the kitchen and dining room (amazing), the living room (wonderful fireplace) and the backyard. Can't say enough! Thank you for everything - this was an incredible stay!”

“We loved our time at Hillview. The location is brilliant for walking - the Speyside Way runs just behind the cottage, and it’s a short drive to classic Cairngorms walks. It’s also handy being so close to Aviemore for restaurants (we tried Cheese and Tomatin, the sourdough pizza was great) and shops (we bought some hiking gear). Everything has been thought of in the cottage, it’s beautiful inside and out. Thank you!”

The house has been lovingly modernised and upgraded throughout, but still retains its homely, cottage feel. The perfect space and accommodation for a family of six. We will absolutely be returning. “This is a wonderful house in the highlands! A beautifully decorated cottage that gives access to Aviemore & surrounding areas. The view from the bathroom in breathtaking. Our favourite room to be in was definitely the kitchen, the glass windows out to the garden really capture the light & pretty landscaping, the kitchen is well equipped too so we didn't eat out once. There are walks just behind the cottage to take advantage of and there are longer trails accessible within a 10-20 min drive. Local town has everything you need including Tescos & hiking shops. Having a log fire in the evening really made it feel cosy. Having a bedroom on on the ground floor is a great addition for older relatives not wanting to use the stairs. I'm hoping to be back here next year.”

“The photos do not do this place justice! Every inch is so beautifully done up with lovely details in every room. The view of the garden sitting at the kitchen table is so serene and relaxing. We got to see red squirrels, lots of song birds, and even a pine marten! This is a wonderful place for a group or family to stay and a perfect location for driving around the Cairngorms. 100% recommend this lovely home. Note, there is a bit of noise from the road on one side of the house and the train on the other. We also found Apple Maps and Google Maps useless in finding many locations in the area including the house, so make sure to look at the “getting there” instructions.”

“We had the best time at the Alvie Cottage, beautiful scenery at the front with a gorgeous big garden at the back. Plenty of space for activities. The kitchen leading out to the outdoor space was also a massive positive for us. Will definitely seek out to stay here again when we travel up to Aviemore!

“Amazing cottage, beautifully decorated and felt like a home away from home. Christmas decorations were up which made it feel extra special. We all loved watching the bird life and red squirrel from the kitchen window each morning. Great location, just a short drive or 4 mile walk to Aviemore.”
