Introducing our latest property: The Hayloft

A romantic, one bedroom hideaway, The Hayloft sits in the tranquil grounds of The Old Manse on the Rothiemurchus Estate, just 10 minutes’ drive or a scenic bike ride from Aviemore. Nestled in the corner of the garden, the views from the apartment are spectacular with beautiful woodland all around. The property is within walking distance of the stunning Loch an Eilein and Rothiemurchus’ network of hiking and cycling trails.

The surrounding villages of Kingussie, Newtonmore and Boat of Garten are all in close proximity and Inverness airport is around 45 minutes’ drive away.  

The Hayloft is perfect for those seeking a bit of peace and quiet, in an unspoilt, tranquil location, while enjoying the first-class facilities of Strathspey. It provides a fantastic base for exploring the Cairngorms National Park or lazing away the afternoon while listening to the nearby stream and watching the birds feed.

Dating back to 1832, The Hayloft consists of the entire upper floor of an original detached carriage house, used in the old days by the Minister living at The Old Manse. The coach and horses were housed on the ground floor and hay kept on the upper floor. The carriage house has now been given a new lease of life with a complete renovation including the addition of a large deck, to create a rather special, romantic hideaway.
